A chromosome-scale assembly of the Japanese elite malting barley cultivar ‘Haruna Nijo’. In 1978, the malting barley cultivar ‘Haruna Nijo’ was released from Sapporo Breweries (Tokyo, Japan) and has since been used as a donor of high-quality profiles in Japanese malting barley breeding programs.
